About the rugs

Sold out does not mean gone. Every rug is handmade, and most designs can be made to order. Just get in touch.

Many pieces here are one of a kind. Once a rug sells, it is gone in that exact form. But since everything is handmade in my Copenhagen studio, I can usually create a new one in a similar way.

Every rug is hand-tufted from 100% New Zealand wool. The design goes onto the frame first, then the yarn is pushed through the canvas row by row with a tufting gun until the whole surface is covered. After that comes the backing, and then the shearing, which is the part where the pattern finally appears. Up to that moment it looks like a fuzzy mess.

Sizes run from roughly 95 x 95 cm up to 200 x 200 cm. Custom sizes and colour combinations are possible, and commissions are the part of this work I enjoy most. Tell me the size, the colours and the room it will live in, and I will come back with options, a price and a timeline.
